Tide, Dawgs head pre-season GBN All-America picks … No big surprise here, but when the GBN staff sat down and put together our annual pre-season All-America team SEC powers Alabama and Georgia lead the way with four picks on the first team each. The ‘Bama quartet included star QB Bryce Young and star DE Will Anderson, both of whom are considered to be top 5 prospects for the 2023 draft – at least. Meanwhile, DT Jalen Carter, another legit top 5 candidate for this coming spring, highlights the Georgia selections, along with rising sophomore TE Brock Bowers, one of three underclassmen on the first team that won’t be draft eligible until 2024. At the same time, Ohio State had three first-team picks, while Clemson and Texas had two apiece. And its also probably no surprise that Alabama was the consensus choice of the GBN staff to win the 2022 national championship in our college football fearless forecast for the upcoming season.
