Tide coach Saban retiring … In a major surprise that is sure to shake up the college football world, Alabama’s Nick Saban has just announced that he is retiring after a 34-year coaching career that included stints at Toledo, LSU, Michigan State as well as Alabama; he also had a two-year stopover in the NFL as Miami’s head coach. Needless to say, Saban will go down as one of the great coaches in college football history. His teams won a record 7 national titles, including 6 in his 16 years at Alabama.
