Thursday nighter with early draft implications … It probably wasn’t what they had in mind when they put this year’s schedule together, but tonight’s Thursday night game on the NFL Network has some major early season implications for the 2021 draft order as the 0-3 Denver Broncos play the equally 0-3 Jets in New York. Kick-off is slated for just after 8 PM ET. And with incumbent starting QB Drew Lock sidelined with a shoulder injury, the Broncos will go with second-year pro Brett Rypien who will be making his first career start this evening. In fact, Rypien has thrown all of 8 passes to date in his short NFL career.
