Thursday night college game with draft implications

Thursday night college game with draft implications … If watching Miami battle for Philadelphia’s draft position isn’t your thing, there’s a really intriguing college game on Thursday’s schedule (7:30 PM ET; ESPN) with North Carolina playing at #21 Pittsburgh in a game in which both teams have QBs with first-round potential for the upcoming draft in Sam Howell of the Tar Heels and Pitt’s Kenny Pickett. However, as has been pretty well documented, the two are going in somewhat opposite directions, at least when it comes to their respective draft grades. Howell, for example, came into the season considered to be one of the 3-4 top QBs in the mix to be the first player selected overall. Instead, Howell has struggled through an indifferent season and is just trying to hang onto a first-round grade; in fact, he’s at #32 in the latest GBN Big Board. Pickett, on the other hand, Pickett was more of a draft afterthought at the start of the campaign, but has put together a Heisman worthy season in which he’s completed almost 70% of his passes, including 29 for scores against just 3 picks and is up to #16 overall on the GBN Big Board. Enjoy!!
