Half dozen more top prospects declare … Rising Virginia Tech junior LT Christian Darrisaw heads a group of six players that announced today that they are foregoing their remaining college eligibility and will be entering the 2021 draft. The others are Florida State DT Marvin Wilson, Wake Forest DE Carlos Basham, Boston College OLB Isaiah McDuffie, Syracuse CB Ifeatu Melifonwu and TCU TE Pro Wells. The 6-5, 315-pound Darrisaw, who started 34 games for the Hokies is considered by more than one NFL team to have top 15-20 potential draft. Meanwhile, both Wilson and Basham were technically seniors this fall who entered the year with high draft hopes, but neither had a great year and both had reportedly given some consideration to taking advantage of the NCAA’s special covid free year of eligibility rule and returning to school to refurbish their respective draft grades.
