Three more juniors eter draft

Three more underclassmen enter draft … A trio of underclassmen announced today that they will entering the 2019 draft including TEs Jace Sternberger of Texas A&M and Stanford’s Kaden Smith; Sternberger is a junior, while Smith is a redshirt sophomore. They will be joined in the upcoming draft class by North Carolina State junior WR Jakobi Meyers.  Smith and Sternberger are currently ranked 6th and 7th respectively on the GBN TE positional ranking. Both are coming off very productive seasons in which Sternberger had a team leading 48 receptions for over 800 yards and 10 scores, while Smith had 47 catches for 635 yards and 2 TDs. Meanwhile, NC State’s Meyers is a 6-1, 205-pound possession receiver who had 89 receptiosn this past season for just over 1,000 yards. The inclusion of these three brings the number of underclassmen who have indicated in one way or another that they will be entering this year’s draft to over 70. At the same time, three Miami juniors including ILB Shaq Quaterman, OLB Michael Pinckney and WR Lawrence Cager announced they will be returning to school for their final seasons, as will Notre Dame DE Khalid Kareem.
