Three juniors enter draft; two more staying put … Three more underclassmen have announced they are entering the 2019 draft including Miami DE Joe Jackson, Penn State RB Miles Sanders and Auburn WR Darius Slayton. All three are juniors with Jackson rated as a second rounder and Sanders a rising late second day prospect. Meanwhile, Slayton could also be something of sleeper; he’s a big-play threat with projected speed in the low 4.4 range; indeed, while he only caught 35 total passes this year, Slayton averaged over 19 yards per reception. On the other hand, two well-regarded underclassmen in Texas junior WR Collin Johnson and Wisconsin redshirt sophomore C Tyler Biadasz have indicated they will be returning for the upcoming college season. Today’s announcements bring the total number of underclassmen who have indicated they will be entering this year’s draft to over 90. Underclassmen have until the end of business on January 14th to file paperwork with the NFL in order to be included in the 2019 draft.
