The Turk is on the prowl … All 32 teams have to be down to their 53-man opening day roster limit by 4 PM ET later this afternoon. In fact, as many as half the teams in the league have made some cuts already; however, at this time, no team has gotten fully down to the limit. As well, no 2017 draft picks have been released as yet, although a couple of have been placed on health-related list. Philadelphia, for example, placed CB Sidney Jones, the Eagles second round pick this year, on the non-football injury list, meaning he won’t be eligible to play or practice the first 6-8 weeks of the schedule. Meanwhile, Baltimore put 4th round OG Nico Siragusa on injured reserve. As usual, we’ll be tracking all the cuts as they are announced, especially how the 2017 draft class fares. Note, though, we only list transactions that have been formally announced by the respective teams. Also note that while 4 PM is the roster deadline, some teams don’t necessarily announce their cuts right away, so if history is any guide, we’ll be at this late into the evening.
