8th round off and running … As noted at the end of the 7th round on Saturday evening, the draft doesn’t end with the selection of Mr. Irrelevant with the final pick of the weekend as NFL teams are in full-scramble mode to sign the best available undrafted players. Indeed, most teams will have started reaching out to their prime targets even before the draft itself was done. and most will have come to terms with at least some of the they are going to sign. Some teams have also signed their classes, but will wait until after an upcoming rookie camp to make it official. As a general rule, though, we wait until teams actually publish thier UDFA signings as too often what gets reported to the press, usually by agents, is incorrect. So far, a dozen or so teams have announced all or part of their undrafted free agent classes including a huge group of 24 signed by the LA Rams. The highest confirmed signing from our list of the top undrafted free agents is former Army star edge rusher Andre Carter who signed with Minnesota.
