Texans name rookie QB Stroud starter … There probably wasn’t any real doubt, but Houston has finally confirmed that CJ Stroud, the second-player selected at the 2023 draft, will be the Texans’ starting QB when they open the season at Baltimore on September 10th. That means that all three of the QBs taken in the top 4 picks last April will be their team’s respective starter when the season opens in two weeks as both Carolina and Indianapolis had announced previously that Bryce Young and Anthony Richardson would start for the Panthers and Colts respectively.
