Texans close, but still inch closer to top securing top pick … Houston threw a scare into Dallas earlier this afternoon, but still came up short when the Cowboys scored with just 41 seconds on the clock to beat the Texans 27-23. That dropped Houston to 1-11-1 and leaves them with a magic number of 3 to clinch the top pick overall at the 2023 draft. However, it is still too early to say who will end the week sitting on the second pick. Seattle could move up to that spot with a pick acquired from Denver if the Broncos lose to Kansas City in a late afternoon game; otherwise Chicago, which is on its bye week, will stay at #2, at least for another week.
