Tech QB Mahomes enters draft … Texas Tech junior QB Patrick Mahomes, who led the the nation in passing this past season, announced at a presser at the school this morning that he will be entering the 2017 draft. The Red Raiders were only 5-7 this fall and did not qualify for a bowl game, but the 6-3, 230-pound Mahomes threw for just over 5,000 passing yards and 53 TDs. Scouts still worry that Mahomes is something of a system QB, but there is also clearly some upside there. Right now Mahomes looks like he will get some consideration in the latter part of the second-day of this year’s draft.
