Tag window now open … As of this morning, teams around the NFL can begin to tag players set to become free agents when the new football year begins next month as either franchise or transition players. Teams considering using one of the two tags have until the end of business on March 7th to do so. Any player who receives a tag will be able to continue negotiating a long-term deal with their teams through July 15th. And it could be a rather interesting tag year coming up with as many as three teams considering tagging their QBs including Baltimore and Lamar Jackson, the Giants and Daniel Jones and Seattle and Geno Smith.
