All-star game updates … Courtesy of our intrepid college football investigative reporter Larry P the following players gave been added to the East-West Shrine all-star game roster: RBs Daniel Lasco of California and San Jose State’s Tyler Ervin; WRs Nelson Spruce of Colorado and UMass’ Tajae Sharpe; UCLA C Jake Brendel; Wisconsin SS Michael Caputo; Boston College FS Justgin Simmons; and CBs Briean Boddy-Calhoun of Minnesota and Cre’von LeBlanc of Florida Atlantic. At the same time, the Shrine game has had a couple of defections as Washington State G/T Joe Dahl and Northwestern FB Dan Vitale both withdrew their acceptances to the game after getting invites to the Senior Bowl. Meanwhile, Utah QB Travis Wilson has accepted an invite to play in the NFLPA game. And for the record, the Senior Bowl is expected to announce another round of players heading to Mobile late in January reportedly including Rutgers’ WR Leonte Carroo.
