Strange ‘times’ at combine … Not sure if anybody commented on the topic, but there was something very different about the timing at yesterday’s first on-field work out at the scouting combine in Indianapolis. In the past, we used to caution people not to get too excited about the first reports of players’ times. They first reports were always about the players’ unofficial times which invariably would be anywhere from 0.05 to 0.10 seconds slower than the official times announced at the end of the event. Yesterday, though, the official times were all faster by that same margin of anywhere from 0.05 to 0.10 seconds.
