Star Ute DE looks to be heading back to school … Still nothing official but it appears that All-America Utah DE Jonah Elliss will return to school for the 2024 season rather than enter the upcoming draft. Elliss was among the nation’s leading QB sackers this past season with 12 in just 10 games, but he missed the last two with a shoulder injury that ultimately required surgery with a 4-6 month rehab time frame. again, there’s nothing official, but Elliss’ father, former NFL DT Luther Elliss who is currently an assistant coach with the Utes, is quoted in the local paper today as saying that Jonah may miss spring practice this year, but should be ready to go at Utah’s fall training camp. Elliss, who is a little undersized at 6-2, 250, had been considered to be a 2nd round prospect for the upcoming draft.
