Star Okie State WR Wallace tears ACL; out for year … Oklahoma State has confirmed that star junior WR Tylan Wallace, a leading prospect for the 2020 draft, tore an ACL during a non-contact drill at practice yesterday and will miss the rest of the season. Wallace is expected to undergo surgery sometime within the next couple of weeks once the swelling subsides. He’ll also have to make a decision on his immediate football within the next couple of months. Wallace had been fully expected to enter the upcoming draft, but as a third-year junior could opt to use his redshirt year and return to school next fall. Or he could go ahead and make himself available for the 2020 draft, although given the normal recovery timetable for an ACL injury its unlikely Wallace would be able to work out for pro scouts before the draft. In fact, he’s borderline to fully recovered for the start of training camp next summer. If he does enter the draft, Wallace is still likely going to be a valued prospect. Since the start of the 2018 season, Wallace has been the most productive receiver in all of college football with 139 receptions for almost 2,400 yards. Wallace is currently the 7th WR in the GBN positional rankings and the #40 prospect overall on the GBN Big Board.
