Rams, QB Stafford make up; QB stays in LA … Just hours after it appeared that he was on his way to Las Vegas, QB Matt Stafford has signed a contract extension with the LA Rams. The Rams had given Stafford permission to seek a trade despite the fact he has two years left on his current contract as he wants a new deal with more – and guaranteed – money and he reportedly got competitive offers from both the Raiders and NY Giants, but opted to stay with the Rams who are obviously closer to a championship. Which leaves the Raiders and Giants still looking at veteran QBs with both expected to turn their attention to Aaron Rodgers who it appears far more certain will not be going back to the Jets.
