Shrine game adds 3rd Canadian

December 16, 2015

Shrine game adds third Canadian … One of the neat traditions at the East-West Shrine all-star game is that each of the two teams has a player from a Canadian college. This year, though, the Shrine game will have three Canadians as Manitoba DT David Onyemata has been added to the roster.  Onyemata will be joined in St. Petersburg by Laval OG Charles Vaillancourt and Calgary C Sean McEwen as the game’s two Canadian representatives. However, while neither of the latter two are expected to get much attention at all from NFL scouts, Onyemata may be a legitimate NFL prospect. The Nigerian-born Onyemata, who was named the outstanding lineman in Canadian college football this year, is 6-3, 300 with impressive athleticism.
