Second pick up for grabs in Sunday action … Detroit is guaranteed to still be sitting on the #1 pick in the ‘if the draft were held today’ opening round selection order as the league’s last remaining winless team has its bye. At least the Lions can’t loss this week! However, the second pick overall, at least for this week, will be very much up for grabs as Houston and Miami, both of which are 1-7 and in a virtual statistical tie for the 2nd and third picks, will play in Miami in a 1 PM ET game on Sunday, although Philadelphia actually holds the Dolphins’ #1 pick this year as a result of a pre-draft trade in 2021. Of course, Miami and Houston were also linked in lock step over the past few weeks as the two were believed to be deep in talks about a possible trade involving embattled Texans’ QB DeShaun Watson that never did come to fruition, but remains a distinct possibility for the coming off-season. Meanwhile, Jacksonville, which is currently sitting on the 4th pick will be hosting Buffalo, while the Giants who sit 6th will play Las Vegas at the Meadowlands. Enjoy the games!
