Second full day of combine to hilite hand size of one QB … The second full day of the 2019 scouting combine is underway with the offensive linemen and RBs scheduled to do the bench press among other things, while the QBs, WRs and TEs will go through the measurement process. The only thing that anybody seems to be interested in today, though, is the hand measurement of Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray. Murray’s story, of course, is well documented; he’s the former baseball star who won the Heisman in his only year at Oklahoma, opted to enter the NFL draft rather than stick with baseball, and has NFL teams intrigued despite the fact that he’s only 5-9 or so. However, if Murray can check off the hand size box – and anything ober 9-inches would probably do – then at least some of the size issue would be mitigated. On the other hand, if his hands come in closer to 8 inches those size concerns could be magnified. Stay tuned!
