SC QB Darnold to skip combine throw drills … ESPN is reporting at this hour that Southern California QB Sam Darnold, arguably the top prospect at the position for the 2018 draft, will not participate in throwing drills during Saturday’s on-field positional workout at the scouting combine in Indianapolis. Instead, Darnold will throw for NFL teams at the Trojans’ pro day on March 21st. While Darnld will skip the passing drills on Saturday, most of the other top QB prospects including Josh Rosen of UCLA, Josh Allen of Wyoming, Baker Mayfield of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State’s Mason Rudolph have all indicated that they will be throwing on Saturday.
