NFL sets salary cap … The NFL reportedly informed clubs earlier today that the salary cap for the 2018 season has been set at $177.2 million. That’s up over $9M from last year when the cap was $168 million. All teams have to be under that number by the start of the new football year on March 14th when teams can begin signing free agents.
