Saints resign QB Winston; Falcons ink Mariota … It didn’t make quite the noise of Matt Ryan going to Indianapolis, but another QB domino appears to have fallen as New Orleans has reportedly resigned QB Jameis Winston to a two-year deal worth an estimated $28M with $21M guaranteed. That won’t necessarily take the Saints out of the QB market with their top pick this year, but it certainly takes the pressure to force a pick off. It also likely means that if the Saints do draft a QB early next month, they won’t have to force him into the lineup right away. And there is something of a similar story in Atlanta where the Falcons signed Marcus Mariota to replace Ryan, at least in the short term, although again that will hardly preclude them from looking at a young QB with the 8th pick overall this year.
