Saints looking at 2nd round DEs … While we wait for New Orleans to conclude talks with New England restricted free agent New England CB Malcolm Butler, there is another interesting story out that the Saints are working out DEs Tarell Basham of Ohio and Kansas State’s Jordan Willis. Both are considered to be second round type prospects. A true edge-rushing 4-3 DE is perhaps the Saints #1 priority heading into the draft, but the fact that the Saints are looking seriously at guys like Basham and Willis may suggest that perhaps the Saints are thinking of using the 11th pick on a different position and then going after a DE with either the 32nd pick, which the Saints acquired from New England for WR Brandin Cooks, or their second-round pick, the 42nd pick.
