Safety profiles added … Unfortunately, the safety position, much like OGs, RBs, and ILBs, doesn’t often get much love from NFL teams on draft day. That could change a little bit this year, as Notre Dame’s Kyle Hamilton is generally considered to be a top 5-10 prospect for this year’s draft. And while Hamilton is probably the only lock at safety to be selected in this year’s opening round, there is some intriguing depth to the position with several players who could at least get looks in the latter part of the opening round and should at worst hear their name called relatively early on day two. Here are profiles of the next half dozen or so safety prospects for 2022, although we should also note that at least for the moment its pretty wide open which particular safeties will be selected after Hamilton as they all bring a little something different to the table. Its certainly a position to watch at next week’s combine.
