Roster cuts posted

August 30, 2022

First look for 2022 draft class is pretty good after deadline passes … It took a while, but we finally got all today’s roster moves posted as teams around the NFL got down to their initial 53-man limit earlier this afternoon. Initial is the operative word as teams will be tweaking their rosters between now and the end of the regular season. Teams can also start to sign their 16-man practice squads once players who were released today clear waivers tomorrow afternoon. We also want to review our data before saying anything conclusively, but it certainly appears at first glance that the 2022 draft class survived pretty well with very few getting axed prior to the deadline. We’ll be able to compare with earlier years once we have had a chance to confirm the data. We should also mention that there was one more minor trade that went down today as Pittsburgh acquired veteran OG Jesse Davis from Minnesota in exchange for a conditional 7th round pick in 2025.
