Rosen injured in Bruins’ finale

November 25, 2017

Rosen injured in Bruins’ finale … UCLA junior QB Josh Rosen’s college career apparently came to an end with him in civvies on the sidelines in the second half of the Bruins’ season-ending win over California last night. Rosen came out of the game late in the first half after taking a hard hit on his third sack in the contest for what the program described as ‘precautionary’ reasons. At the time, Rosen had passed for over 200 yards and 2 scores and UCLA led 19-7. The question now becomes whether Rosen plays in the Bruins’ bowl game. At 6-6, UCLA isn’t likely to be invited to much more than than a fringe bowl and Rosen has been banged around this year as he has previously missed time with a shoulder injury and a concussion. If, in fact, Rosen had some additional concussion symptoms last night, NFL teams will no doubt take notice. Of course, Rosen, who is generally considered to be a top 5 prospect for the 2018, still hasn’t formally announced whether he will indeed skip his final year of eligibility and enter the upcoming draft, although it appears to be a foregone conclusion.
