Road to top pick still runs thru Frisco … The road to the top pick at the 2019 draft continues to run through San Francisco. Indeed, after playing three straight games with teams with top 5 picks, the 49ers, who would have the #1 pick were the draft held this week, will play 3-7 Tampa Bay, which currently sits on the 8th pick, in an early afternoon game. On the other hand, the other teams currently with top 5 picks are all in relatively tough later today. Arizona, which has the 2nd pick, will play the Chargers in Los Angeles, while #3 Oakland will be at Baltimore. Meanwhile, the two New York teams – the Jets at #4 and the #5 Giants – play last year’s Super Bowl finalists – with the Jets hosting New England, while the Giants travel down the turnpike to play the Eagles in Philadelphia. At the same time, there will be some shuffling in the rest of the top 10 picks as Jacksonville, which currently sits on the 6th pick plays at #7 Buffalo. As usual, the full opening round selection order will be posted after tomorrow night’s Monday night game.
