Good news, less good news for Tech Raider QB … Updating an earlier report on Texas Tech junior QB Patrick Mahomes, the nation’s second leading passer entering this week’s play with an average of 442 yards per game thru the air, who was forced to leave Thursday’s win over Kansas with an undisclosed injury to this throwing shoulder, Mahomes has an AC joint sprain in his shoulder and won’t require surgery. In fact, it is an injury that typically requires 1-2 weeks rehab, although the fact that the injury was to Mahomes’ throwing shoulder could complicate the picture.
