Wow! Updated: Barkley runs 4.41 at 233 pounds; that’s on top of a Top ten all-time 41-inch vertical. By way of comparison, Leonard Fournette, last year’s 4th overall pick, ran a 4.51, while Zeke Elliott clocked a 4.47. Also a good time for LSU’s Derrius Guice at 4.49; same for Kalen Ballage at 4.46, while NC State speedster broke the 4.4 mark with a 4.39 clocking, although he is somewhat smaller than most of the other top backs at under 200. Not so good for Royce Freeman who only clocked in at 4.59, while Sony Michel was also in that range at 4.58. Note that USC’s Ronald Jones, who was expected to be really fast, pulled up lame halfway thru his 40.
