Rams sign top pick, full draft class … Los Angeles has signed former California QB Jared Goff, the first player selected overall at the 2016 draft. The Rams made Goff the #1 pick this year after trading up from the 15th spot. Goff signed a standard 4-year deal with a club option for a 5th season. In fact, the Rams announced that they had signed the other five members of their 2016 draft class including TE Tyler Higbee and WR Pharoh Cooper, both of whom were selected in the 4th round, along with sixth-round picks TE Temarrick Hemingway, LB Josh Forrest and WR Michael Thomas. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh made it 24 teams to have signed their 2016 first rounder when they came to terms on a standard 4-5 year deal with CB Artie Burns whom the Steelers chose with the 25th pick.
