Raiders work out top QB prospects

Raiders work out top QB prospects … Interesting development in Oakland with news that the Raiders held private workouts with QBs Kyler Murray of Oklahoma on Monday and Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins earlier today. Murray and Haskins are the consensus top 2 QBs in this year’s draft with Murray projected by most to be selected by Arizona with the 1st pick overall at next month’s draft. Both of Raiders’ head coach Jon Gruden and new G.M. Mike Mayock have been stating for awhile that Derek Carr IS their QB, but rumblings persist that they’d actually like to go in a different direction. Of course, its also possible that Oakland is just trying to blow some smoke to induce another team to move up ahead of them to get a QB, although that seems like a lot of work to accomplish what was likely going to happen anyway. So maybe figure that a) the Raiders are just doing their due diligence and that b) nobody should be totally shocked if the Raiders were to take one of those two guys in the unlikely scenario that one or both are in fact available at #4.
