Race for top pick back on as Panthers nip Falcons … All of a sudden, the race to see who gets the #1 pick overall at the 2024, is back on after Carolina notched its second win of the campaign by upsetting Atlanta 9-7 on a walk-off FG. Chicago, which owns the Panthers’ pick thanks to a 2023 draft trade, will still be picking first overall in this week’s selection order, but 3-11 New England could move into that spot with another Panthers win combined with a Patriots loss as Carolina has a significantly stronger SOS figure than New England. However, the rest of the top 10 and beyond won’t be confirmed until after the 4 PM ET games as both Arizona and Washington, which currently occupy the 3rd and 4th spots respectively, are in action this afternoon.
