QBs Young, Levis sitting out

October 8, 2022

QBs Young, Levis sitting out … Two of the top three QB prospects for the 2023 draft are sitting out tonight’s games with injuries. Bryce Young of Alabama, for example, is not playing for the Tide in this evening’s game with Texas A&M after straining a shoulder joint last weekend. Alabama actually never did announce that Young would not play and he took part in warm-ups but didn’t throw any passes. Meanwhile, Will Levis of Kentucky is not playing in the Wildcats game with South Carolina after he suffered finger and foot injuries last week. In the absence of Young and Levis, Ohio State’s C J Stroud, the third of this year’s top QB prospects, did play this afternoon when the Buckeyes visited Michigan State and made a statement completing 21 of 26 passes for 361 yards and 6 TDs, although he did have a pick, in a 49-20 romp over the Spartans.
