QBs, receivers arrive in Indy

February 28, 2022

QBs, receivers arrive in Indy … The 2022 scouting combine is underway in Indianapolis with the arrival today of the QBs and receivers. They went thru orientation and have started the interview process this evening. However, the heavy lifting really doesn’t get underway until tomorrow when the QBs and receivers undergo full medicals. Of course, there are still a couple of days to go until the first group gets weighed and measured and undergoes the physical testing including the bench press, the on-field physical tests such as the 40 and vertical leap, and the positional drills. One player who won’t be working out, though, will be Ole Miss QB Matt Corral who indicated earlier today that he will be working out at the school’s pro day on March 24th. However, Corral won’t be the only prospect who opts not to work out this week. Indeed, both Alabama OT Evan Neal and LSU CB Derek Stingley have announced that they’ll only do their on-field stuff at their respective pro days. In fact, it is not guaranteed that Stingley, who has been recovering from a Lisfranc foot injury will actually be healthy enough to go at the LSU pro day on April 5th.
