QB sparkles at Indiana pro day

March 4, 2025

QB sparkles at Indiana pro day … Just not that one. In the end, Kurtis Rourke was not able to participate in today’s pro day at Indiana as he continues to rehab from post-season ACL surgery. With Rourke sidelined, newly minted Hoosiers’ QB Fernando Mendoza, who transferred in from California, stepped up and was throwing the passes to the graduating Indiana receivers and backs; and by all accounts, Mendoza, a leading candidate for the 2026 draft, was in fact throwing the ball with real authority and accuracy. In the meantime, it is not clear whether Rourke, the Canadian who was second in the country in passing efficiency to Jaxson Dart of Mississippi this past season and figures to be a late second/early third day prospect in April, will in fact be able to work out for NFL teams prior to the draft.
