QB Cook to pass on senior Bowl

January 10, 2016

QB Cook to skip Senior Bowl … Former Michigan State QB Connor Cook has reportedly decided to pass on the opportunity to participate in this year’s Senior Bowl. That’s likely to set of some grumbling among the NFL scouting community. Cook is generally considered to be the 2nd and 3rd rated QB for this year’s draft behind either or both juniors Jared Goff of California and Memphis’ Paxton Lynch and the feeling around the league is that the Senior Bowl would have been a great chance for Cook to show his stuff with the stage all to himself. With Cook out, the QBs for this year’s Senior Bowl include Stanford’s kevin Hogan, USC’s Cody Kessler, Dak Prescott of Mississppi State, Jacoby Brissett of NC State, Louisiana Tech’s Jeff Driskel and Carson Wentz who led North Dakota State to its 5th straight FCS title yesterday. Meanwhile, the East-West Shrine game has announced that Stanford DE Aziz Shittu and Liberty PK John Lunsford have been added to the roster for that game.
