QB Burrow says he’ll play for Bengals if drafted #1 … It wasn’t actually the most ringiest of endorsemets, but LSU QB Joe Burrow did say that he would indeed play for Cincinnati if they selected him with the first pick overall at this year’s draft. When asked directly ‘if the Bengals draft you, will you play for them?’ during an interview session at the combine in Indianapolis, Burrow responded “Yeah, I mean I’m not going to not play. I’m a ball player. Whoever picks me, I’m going to go show up.” There had been speculation based on some of his earlier comments that Burrow, who is projected by most to be the first player selected on April 23rd, that he really didn’t want to play for the Bengals who have a reputation for being cheap and not particularly committed to winning. Not surprisingly, Burrow is one of the 45 players that the Bengals will formally meet with this week in Indianapolis, although he will reportedly not participate in the on-field workout session on Thursday.
