QB Burke heads preliminary CFL draft ranking … The Canadian Football League has released its first ranking for the 2024 CFL draft. And there isn’t much of a surprise at the very top of the board as Ohio QB Kurtis Rourke heads the list. In fact, players at US colleges dominate the Canadian league’s first ranking as 8 of the top 10 CFL prospects play south of the border including offensive linemen Gabe Wallace of Buffalo, Kyle Hergel of Boston College and Illinois Isaiah Adams, who are ranked 2nd, 4th and 5th. At the same time, both of the top ten CFL prospects are UBC offensive linemen Theo Benedet and Giovanni Manu who are at #3 and #9 respectively. The CFL draft, for Canadian born players is usually held the week after the NFL draft.
