Decided to take another little shortcut in an attempt to get as close to all 32-team coverage as possible. I have selected the 4 teams with the least Draft Capital of all the remaining teams I still have to draft for here. I am also going to defer from the profile detail that I would normally compose for each team. The exception is any First Round selections, of which there are two.
NEW YORK JETS I am assuming that Aaron Rodgers will become a JET, but it will be after the Draft, and after June 1st, when the PACKERS can spread out the dead money million$ over two years. The PACK will settle for their compensation for the 2024, and perhaps beyond.
Round 1, Pick 13 PARIS JOHNSON OT Ohio State 6’6/315 The JETS are retooling their OL with the aging Rodgers in mind, who doesn’t run quite like he used to. PARIS should be entrenched in that JETS OL for years after AARON is gone.
Round 2, Pick 42 TRENT SIMPSON LB Clemson 6’2/235
Round 2, Pick 43 JOE TIPPMANN OC Wisconsin 6’6/315
Round 4, Pick 112 NICK HAMPTON ER/OB Appalachian St. 6’2/235
Round 5, Pick 143 MORO OJOMO DL Texas 6’3/295
Round 6, Pick 207 NIC JONES CB Ball State 6’/190

MIAMI DOLPHINS The Dolphins spent a lot of time and money on trades and VFA acquisitions. The 4 Picks they have are unlikely to have a major effect on the team’s fortunes this season. Keep in mind that they are likely to sign a healthy number of URFA.
Round 2, Pick 51 TUCKER KRAFT TE South Dakota State 6’5/255 Full sized athlete coming from the smaller school setting. Might see some significant playing time in their depleted TE room.
Round 3, Pick 84 CURTIS McCLENDON OL TN/Chattanooga 6’6/325
Round 6, Pick 197 MIKE MORRIS DL Michigan 6’5/275
Round 7, Pick 238 MO DIABATE’ LB Utah 6’3/230
BALTIMORE RAVENS The team sure looks more messed up to me than just the LAMAR JACKSON fiasco, if I may call it that. They usually draft quite well, but normally they have more Picks than this.
Round 1, Pick 22 BRYAN BRESEE DT Clemson 6’5/300 BRESEE had an ill fated career at Clemson due to injuries and the loss of a younger sister to cancer. But when he hit the field his talent was obvious. The RAVENS DL needs some young, star power and this is a solid shot at obtaining that.
Round 3, Pick 86 JONATHAN MINGO WR Ole Miss 6’2/220
Round 4, Pick 124 JARRETT PATTERSON IOL Notre Dame 6’5/305
Round 5, Pick 157 CHRIS RODRIGUEZ RB Kentucky 6’/215
Round 6, Pick 199 CHAMMARRI CONNER DB Virginia Tech 6’/200

DENVER BRONCOS Another Draft and another year of missing Picks primarily from obtaining RUSSELL WILSON. With a few less injuries than last year and a WILSON rebirth of sorts under SEAN PAYTON’s guiding hand they might actually have a chance to contend for a Wild Card slot. And some of these guys may actually fill a couple of holes for them.
Round 3, Pick 67 ANTON HARRISON OT Oklahoma 6’4/315
Round 3, Pick 68 JARTAVIUS MARTIN DB Illinois 5’11/195
Round 4, Pick 108 CHASE BROWN RB Illinois 5’10/210
Round 5, Pick 139 DANTE STILLS DL West Virginia 6’4/295
Round 6, Pick 195 ROBERT BEAL ER/OB Georgia 6’4/245
Some help may come to these teams from the Draft, including Day 4. But the lesson to be learned here is some teams need to be a bit more careful in how they toss around Picks like they were wooden nickels. It just ain’t so.
Cheers
Pigskin
