Peat update

January 5, 2015

Cardinal OT to enter draft; maybe not? … It was reported earlier today that there were unconfirmed reports that after some waffling Stanford junior OT Andrus Peat had decided to enter the 2015 draft, however, there are other conflicting reports from sources close to the player that indicate that he has not in fact made up his mind one way or the other. In fact, that’s been the word from the Peat camp for some time now that he really likes the college atmosphere and is torn about whether to enter the draft where he would almost certainly be a first-round pick, but where he could slip somewhat after an inconsistent season this past fall.

Penn State TE to enter draft; Missou OLB to follow … Penn State junior TE Jesse James announced earlier today that he will forgo his final year of eligibility and enter the 2015 draft. The 6-6, 255-pound James, who had 38 receptions this past fall, including three for TDs, is a mid-to-late round prospect for the upcoming draft. Meanwhile, Missouri junior DE Shane Ray will hold a press conference early tomorrow afternoon at which time he is also expected to officially enter the draft where he is projected to be a top 5-10 pick after leading the SEC with 14.5 sacks this past season.
