Pats tweak front office … It appears New England has settled on a front office structure, at least for the short term, following the departure of Bill Belichik last month. Eliot Wolf, the son of almost legendary long-time Packers GM Ron Wolf, who has been the Patriots director of scouting, will become the team’s de facto G.M., although he won’t formally have the title. At the same time, the Patriots have hired veteran personnel exec Alonzo Highsmith to fill an unspecified support role with Wolf with whom he has worked extensively in the past. At some point in the future, though, the Patriots will formally fill those roles.
