Pats sign Aggie UDFA … Literally just hours after he cleared waivers by Buffalo, former Texas A&M TE Jalen Wydermyer, one of the top-rated undrafted players in the 2021 draft class, was signed by division-rival New England. At this time last year, Wydermyer was the consensus top TE candidate in last year’s draft class, but his stock tumbled during the year and ultimately crumbled after he ran poorly at pre-draft tests. Of course, he’s still got a long, long way to even make the Patriots’ 53-man roster but at least he has a chance.
