Pats send QB Milton to Cowboys for pick swap … With now just three weeks to go until the tart of the 2025 draft, Dallas has acquired second-year QB Joe Milton from New England in exchange for a 5th round pick (#171). To complete the deal, the Cowboys will also get the 217Th pick overall, the first pick in the 7th round, which the Patriots had acquired earlier in a trade with Tennessee. Milton was a 6th round pick by the Patriots last year and played well in limited minutes. Indeed, there were rumors that more than one team had called the Patriots about a possible trade for Milton so the fact that all they really got was to move up 46 spots in the draft, at that point pretty much the equivalent of 6th round pick, doesn’t seem like much in return.
