Pats lose in Europe; clinch at least 4th pick for week … New England came up on the short end of a 10-6 defensive struggle with Indianapolis earlier today somewhere in Europe. The loss drops the Patriots to 2-8 and means they’ll have no worse than the 4th pick in the weekly selection order for the opening round of the 2024 draft, at least for the week. However, the Patriots still could move a little higher depending how Arizona and the NY Giants fare in their games later this afternoon. In fact, Arizona has something of a winnable game as they face Atlanta. Boosting their chances is the fact that the Cardinals will have QB Kyler Murray back in the lineup for the first time this year as he has been rehabbing from a torn ACL suffered last fall. For their part, the Giants will be in Dallas and are the biggest underdogs of the year as they’ll be starting Tommy DeVito at QB in place of Daniel Jones who tore an ACL in the team’s loss last week. For the record, it will be DeVito’s first career start, although he has appeared in two games to date as an injury replacement.
