Pats, Browns wins to shake up draft order … It truly was a ‘the meek shall inherit the earth’ afternoon in the NFL as both New England and Cleveland, which came into the weekend sitting on the 1st and 3rd picks respectively in this week’s selection order for the first round of the 2025 draft, won their games in dramatic fashion. The Patriots knocked off the NY Jets on a last minute 4th down plunge, while the Browns stunned Baltimore 29-24 with a last minute TD pass. As a result, Carolina will slip back up into this week’s #1 slot if the Panthers lose to Denver in a late afternoon game. In fact, about the only thing we can say for sure at this point is that Tennessee, which was routed in Detroit earlier today, will come out of the weekend with either the first or second picks.
