Patriot League also out for fall … A second Division 1 college football conference has formally announced that all sports, including football, have been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this month, the Ivy League had announced the same decision. Like the Ivies, the conference left open the possibility of playing the season at a later point. Also like the Ivy League, the Patriot League competes at the FCS level in football and includes Holy Cross, Colgate, Lafayette, Fordham, Bucknell, Lehigh and Georgetown.
