Panthers trade up to #1 … There you have it. The first move to really shake up this year’s opening round as Carolina has acquired the #1 pick overall from Chicago in exchange for the 9th and 61st picks overall this year, as well as veteran WR DJ Moore, along with the Panthers’ #1 pick in 2024 as well as their 2nd rounder in 2025. Needless to say, the Panthers are expected to take a QB with the first pick, most likely Alabama’s Bryce Young. Meanwhile, having acquired Moore the Bears could very well look for even more help for Justin Fields, especially an OT like Peter Skoronski, the hometown kid from Northwestern, Ohio State’s Paris Johnson or Broderick Jones of Georgia.
