Pair of vet DEs traded … There were a couple of trades today involving veteran DEs. Carolina sent Kony Ealy and a 3rd round pick (#72) to New England for the Patriots’ 2nd round pick, #64. Ealy became expendable in Carolina when the Panthers resigned veteran DE Julius Peppers, who starred with the Panthers from 2002 to 2009, before spending the last 7 campaigns in Chicago and Green Bay. Meanwhile, the LA Rams sent DE Williams Hayes and a 7th rounder (#223) to Miami for a 6th round pick, #206.
